As the sun rises over Cairo, your adventure truly begins. Today we travel to the legendary Giza Plateau, home to the awe-inspiring Great Pyramids and the enigmatic Sphinx. After breakfast, your cruise glides into the storied city of Luxor, where an unforgettable day of exploration awaits. We begin on the East Bank of the Nile, the ancient centre of life, celebration and divine worship.

Your first stop is the magnificent Karnak Temple, one of the most extraordinary religious complexes ever built. Wander through its vast courtyards and towering columns, step into the iconic Hypostyle Hall, and admire the colossal statues and sacred lakes that once formed the spiritual heart of ancient Egypt. Karnak was a centre of immense power for over 2,000 years, and its scale and atmosphere remain unmatched.

We then continue to the enchanting Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated by thousands of years of history. Here, the grand Avenue of Sphinxes stretches out before you, once forming a ceremonial pathway linking Luxor to Karnak. Stroll through its graceful halls and statues while your guide reveals the stories of pharaohs and festivals that took place within its walls.

An inspiring day immersed in the treasures of Luxor’s East Bank.

After breakfast, we cross to the West Bank of Luxor, the ancient land of the setting sun and the gateway to Egypt’s royal afterlife. Our day begins in the legendary Valley of the Kings, one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in the world. Here, hidden deep within the desert cliffs, lie the richly decorated tombs of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs. Step inside these ancient chambers, still glowing with vibrant colours and sacred scenes painted more than 3,000 years ago.

We continue to the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahri, an architectural masterpiece carved into vast limestone cliffs. Its grand terraces and sweeping colonnades honour Egypt’s most powerful female pharaoh, whose reign brought peace, prosperity and artistic brilliance to the land.

Our final stop is the imposing Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues that once guarded the entrance to the mortuary temple of Amenophis III. Standing silently against the Theban landscape, these towering figures have watched over the Nile Valley for millennia.

As the afternoon comes to a close, we make our way to Luxor station to board the overnight sleeper train back to Cairo. Settle into your cabin and relax as the rhythmic journey carries you north through the desert night.

This morning, your sleeper train arrives at Giza station, typically between 7:00 and 9:00 am. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you on the platform and ensure a smooth and comfortable transfer to Cairo International Airport for your onward flight.
